Applications for the 2018 Graduate Nurse positions are now closed.
Yarrawonga Health offers first year registered nurses a unique and exciting program designed to expose them to a diverse range of clinical experiences. Our graduate nurse program is run in partnership with six other local health services and gives you the opportunity to care for patients with varying needs in one of the six regional health services within the Central Hume Region.
The 7 facilities within the North East region are coordinating their Graduate Nurse Programs with a collaborative approach, sharing both their recruitment processes and Professional Development programs. Professional Development Days offer a wide variety of topics, which are constantly adapted to suit Graduate requirements.
Before you begin the graduate nurse program, you will be given the opportunity to participate in a pre-employment workshop. This workshop offers you the:
- chance to meet other new graduates
- opportunity to meet the education team
- opportunity to gain valuable insight into the year ahead of you
For successful applicants there may also be the opportunity to participate in an intra-hospital rotation, spending 3-6 months of your Graduate year in another hospital, further expanding the diverse range of experiences and skills you will receive.
