It’s been an exciting few weeks at Yarrawonga Health beginning with an announcement and visit from Member for Northern Vic Mark Gepp to announce a $112,475 investment towards upgrading our Acute and Urgent Care Centre from the Labour Government's Regional Health Infrastructure Fund. The funding will facilitate upgrades to our Acute and Urgent Care Centre meaning patients will be more comfortable while attending the centre, with a more functional designed entry and improved security measures for both patients and staff.
We were also thrilled to have seen works start on the redevelopment of our Warrina Aged Care facility which is being funded through the Department of Health and Human Services Regional Infrastructure fund which granted $413,000 towards the $600,000 project. The project is being managed by the Yarrawonga Health team and is utilising local builders and trades persons.
We have also welcomed the following new members to our Consumer Advisory Committee Daniel Boulton, Isabelle Warren, Sarah Hill and Marg Duff - all community representatives who will provide invaluable consumer perspectives on the provision of services along with insight into policy and decision making at management and board levels across our organisation.
March is upon us and we are busily working towards realizing some great achievements for 2017-2018 year at the same time as planning for our future. As always we are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support of our outstanding community that we proudly serve and look forward to what the next month brings.
Yours in service,
CEO Yarrawonga Health
