Acute Services

The Acute Ward at Yarrawonga Health is a very modern facility (built in 2005) with state-of-the art equipment and has a mixture of 19 private and share-cared rooms for medical and surgical cases, as well as a dedicated Day Stay Unit. Our Hospital provides a range of services to ensure that our patients receive the highest possible standard of care. A nurse educator is employed to assist with this process which encompasses a mix of both in-service and external education. Our Quality Coordinator oversees a comprehensive monitoring system to maintain continuous quality improvement of service provision.

 During your stay at Yarrawonga Health as an inpatient, you will be treated with compassionate care and courtesy. Your privacy is assured under the Privacy Act and any complaints or suggestions will be handled promptly and outcomes reported back to you.

Visiting hours for the Acute Ward are 10.00am – 12.30pm & 2.30pm – 8.00pm. As a matter of courtesy, visitors should check with the Nurse In-Charge before visiting any patients. The Hospital reserves the right to ask visitors to leave the premises at any time. Visitors are also requested to keep noise to a minimum.
