District Nursing Services.

The District Nursing Service is an integral part of the total health care delivery system, providing nursing care and other support to people in their home environment.

The main objective of our service is to provide professional care management and nursing care of the highest standard whilst promoting independence.

District Nursing Staff work closely with each client and their carers, General Practitioners and Ancillary services, to provide directly coordinated care to the home.

Any person is eligible to receive District Nursing Care subject to an initial assessment by District Nurse, or may be referred by Medical Officers, local and other hospitals, other District Nursing Services or patients and their families.

This service provides trained nurses to attend to client’s needs with support as necessary, for their carers.
