The Yarrawonga Health Dialysis Unit currently provides a dialysis service six days a week, two shifts a day, accommodating up to 11 permanent local patients and one holiday patient each week. Because of Yarrawonga’s popularity as the number one holiday destination, tourists are also provided with a dedicated treatment holiday house for patients holidaying in our area.

Our Dialysis Unit is managed by Ms. Melissa Moat and her dedicated staff. The Unit is overseen by the North East Dialysis Service (NWDS) under the healthcare umbrella of the Royal Melbourne Hospital (Melbourne Health). The Service is the largest of its kind in Australia, providing care for more than 33% of Victorian dialysis patients, with links to major a metropolitan satellite centre and 23 affiliated regional centres in the North Western corridor of Victoria.

Yarrawonga Health has many regular patients who travel from all over Australia to holiday in Yarrawonga and we are fortunate that the Dialysis and Transport Association (DATA) of Victoria have fully funded and built the DATA House which is situated only a few metres from Lake Mulwala. The house is fully furnished, sleeps seven people and is equipped with two dialysis machines – bookings for this House can be made through DATA House.
