Yarrawonga Health – New COVID-19 Testing Clinic

Thursday, 7 October 2021

As regional Victoria experience increased exposure to COVID-19 the demand for testing increases. To help protect our community, Yarrawonga Health and Yarrawonga Fire Brigade have collaborated to re-locate the Yarrawonga Health COVID-19 testing clinic to the Yarrawonga Fire Brigade Running Track in Woods Road Yarrawonga.

Simon Crawford, from Yarrawonga Fire Bigrade says “It has been a fantastic opportunity to work with Yarrawonga Health and be able to assist with such an important service that helps protect the health of our community.”

Yarrawonga Health have provided the Yarrawonga / Mulwala and surrounding communities with COVID-19 testing since the beginning of the pandemic. The new location increases safety for both staff and the community by reducing traffic on local roads in residential areas and provides enhanced capacity for Yarrawonga Health to respond to increased demand, particularly ahead of peak tourism season.

Elaine Mallows, Yarrawonga Health Chief Executive Officer, says “We are incredibly proud to have strong community relationships that help us provide such an important service for our wider community. COVID-19 testing is just one of the ways that help us keep safe as we navigate the next stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Yarrawonga Health provides COVID-19 testing 7 days a week. If you display any COVID-19 symptoms or have visited an exposure site please visit the Yarrawonga Health website and pre-register then phone Yarrawonga Health on 5743 8111 – Option 0 to arrange an appointment time. With increased community demand, from Monday 11th October bookings will no longer be required for COVID-19 testing.

With exposure sites within our region Elaine Mallows, urges our community members to not be complacent. Get tested if you have visited an identified exposure site or have any flu like symptoms, no matter how mild.
