Message from the CEO on the Royal Commission into Aged Care in Australia

Yarrawonga Health is supportive of the Royal Commission into Aged Care and acknowledges that this has brought to the forefront examples of unacceptable failures across the sector that simply must be prevented in the future.  Every older person and their family members should expect and receive the highest quality of care.  We are confident in the quality of services currently being provided at Yarrawonga Health and in the commitment and professionalism of all of our teams. These stories can be distressing and I would advise anyone who has any concerns in relation to family members or residents to contact our Director of Clinical Services on 03 57438131 or any of our Unit Manager’s - Warrina 03 57438134, Karana 03 57438145 or Allawah 03 57438143.

Yarrawonga Health is committed to quality improvement and innovation across our health service and in our Aged Care Units.  The Royal Commission will highlight improvements needed in the way that aged care is delivered across the country.  Yarrawonga Health supports this, as a provider of high quality aged care and will be responsive to improvements identified through the Royal Commission and welcome any enhancements to aged care that this provides.
