Have you noticed changes in a colleague? Perhaps they seem distracted or like they’ve got a lot on their mind?

By starting a conversation, you could help a team member open up about what they’re going through.

If your gut instinct is telling you something’s worrying a team member, start a conversation to see how they’re doing. You could:
👍 Find a time that is convenient for them to have a chat
👍 If you can, find a space where you can talk that is free of distractions
👍 Mention specific things that have made you concerned for them: ‘You seem less chatty than usual. How are you travelling?’

If they’re not ok, listen and encourage them to connect with appropriate support.

You don’t need to be an expert or have all the answers. Simply listening can make a difference
