Tuesday, 28 July 2020

If you smoke, now is a good time to quit. As a smoker you are more at risk of respiratory disease, this includes Coronavirus. Smoking causes damage to your lungs. As a result, you are at a higher risk of experiencing complications and a more severe case of coronavirus if you do become infected. Smoking can also contribute to spreading the virus as you are more likely to touch your mouth with your fingers making you more vulnerable to coronavirus.

Here at Yarrawonga health our community health nurse Lisa can help you to quit smoking. Lisa can offer telephone support, Quit resources and a list of smart phone applications to help you on your quit journey. Lisa can also provide information for the use of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT). A referral to your GP can also be attended which can help with cost and further support. If you would like more information or assistance to quit smoking please call Lisa on 0357438524
